FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO CAN ATTEND CHRISTIAN PROM?

All high school students are welcome at Christian Prom.

MY DATE ISN’T IN HIGH SCHOOL, CAN THEY STILL ATTEND?

Yes, if they are in 8th grade and their parents give permission, they are welcome to attend with you. For those aged 20 and under at the time of the Christian Prom, they are welcome to attend as a student and will be expected to follow the same rules as all other students present.

DO I HAVE TO BRING A DATE?

No. While dates are allowed, students are encouraged to come by themselves or in a group.

IS THERE ASSIGNED SEATING?

No. If you are a part of a large group (5 or more), please let the volunteers at the registration table know during check-in and we will do our best to accommodate you. Suggestion: you should arrive when the doors open if you would like to sit with a group.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED?

We will be playing a large variety of music. There will be fast songs and slow songs. However, all music will have been reviewed and considered by the Christian Prom committee to be appropriate to play at a Christian event. Please feel free to submit song requests here.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

This is a black tie event. Suits for the guys, dresses for the girls.
In order to keep in line with biblical principles we ask that you dress appropriately. While we do not have a specific dress code in place, we would ask that students honor and respect themselves and others by not dressing in a way that is overly revealing. If the Christian Prom Chaperone Team feels you are dressed in a way that is too revealing, we have shirts, shorts, or leggings that can be provided to wear with your outfit to help everyone feel more comfortable. If while at the prom you discover that your outfit is unexpectedly uncomfortable for dancing, feel free to request these times from one of our chaperones.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CHRISTIAN PROM?

Dinner and dancing. We will also have a complementary craft and game table set up in the lobby. You’re welcome to bring your own games as well.

WILL DINNER BE SERVED AT PROM?

Yes, the price of dinner is included in your ticket.

WHO WILL BE CHAPERONING?

We aim to have at least 1 chaperone for every 20 students in attendance. They will be no younger than 21 and will have gone through an application and screening process. Due to our vetting process, parents are not permitted to stay past the 20 minute time frame for pictures during the 5-6pm hour. Interested in being a chaperone, click here to fill out an application.

CAN PARENTS COME IN TO TAKE PICTURES?

Yes. However, in order to make sure that we do not go over capacity on the room and break fire code, we ask that you limit your time taking pictures to 20 minutes. Parents are not permitted to stay past that 20 minute time frame or after 6pm. Suggestion: there is a gazebo located outside on the venue property as well as grassy areas and mature trees for beautiful picture taking outdoors.

CAN I REGISTER AND BUY MY TICKETS AT THE PROM?

No. Tickets are only available until the final registration deadline. We will not be accepting walk-ins this year. Please visit our homepage for specific dates for this year.

WHAT IF I MISS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE AND STILL WANT TO GO TO THE PROM?

We will be making a waiting list for anyone who misses the deadline and still wishes to attend. If there is a cancellation, those on the waiting list will be notified.

WHAT IF I DECIDE NOT TO COME AND WANT MY MONEY BACK?

Money is non-refundable, but if a family emergency comes up, the deadline for a refund is thirty days prior to the prom. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please visit our homepage for specific registration dates for this year.

HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY REGISTRATION WAS RECEIVED?

If you provided us with your email address and do not receive an email within 7-10 days of sending your form, please contact us at christianpromrocks@gmail.com.
